Google OAuth & Permissions

Glidee connects to YouTube using Google-approved OAuth with read-only access. This is the same secure authentication used by trusted apps across the web.

What Glidee can do:

• Analyze analytics and performance data
• Understand retention and audience trends

What Glidee cannot do:

• Upload videos
• Edit videos
• Publish content
• Modify your channel in any way

Glidee never acts on your behalf. We’re read-only observers that help you interpret your data—nothing more.

Public vs Private Data

Glidee works with two types of data:

Public data

Public video and channel information that is already visible on YouTube—titles, thumbnails, view counts, subscriber counts, and published dates. Anyone can see this data.

Private analytics (with permission)

Retention reports, performance signals, and deeper analytics accessed only after you connect your account. This includes watch time patterns, traffic sources, and audience demographics.

This private data allows Glidee to generate more accurate, personalized recommendations that help you understand what’s working and why.

AI & Model Transparency

Glidee uses AI to interpret analytics and generate insights—but we do it responsibly.

Here’s how:

• AI helps us spot patterns in your analytics and explain what they mean
• Your private channel data is never used to train AI models
• AI is used only to analyze and explain your data, not to make decisions for you
• We use trusted AI providers including Google and Anthropic

We believe AI should empower creators, not replace their creativity or steal their data.

Security & Infrastructure

Your data is protected with industry-standard security practices:

• Data stored securely on AWS US servers with encryption at rest
• All traffic encrypted using HTTPS/TLS to protect data in transit
• Role-based access controls protect production systems
• No employee has direct access to production data without explicit authorization
• Access is logged and monitored to ensure accountability

We’re a small team, but we build security into everything we do.

Data Control & Deletion

You own your data. You control your data. Period.

Here’s what that means:

• Disconnect Google anytime — revoke Glidee’s access from your Google account settings
• Request full account deletion — contact us and we’ll delete everything
• Data is automatically removed after our retention period following disconnection
• Self-serve deletion on the way — we’re building an in-app option to delete your account with one click

We don’t hold your data hostage. If you want to leave, you can.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Glidee post videos for me?

No. Glidee has read-only access to your YouTube data. We can’t upload, edit, publish, or modify anything on your channel. You remain in full control.

Do you sell my data?

Absolutely not. We don’t sell, rent, or share your channel data with third parties. Our business model is simple: you pay for Glidee, we help you grow. That’s it.

Do you train AI on my channel?

No. Your private channel data is never used to train AI models. We use AI to analyze and explain your data, but your analytics stay yours.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can disconnect your Google account anytime or contact us to request full account deletion. We’re also building a self-serve deletion option.
